In crypto, “FUD” stands for “Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt” and my FUD for the Southside City metaverse began in 2023, when they seemed more focused on selling yet more real estate that didn’t exist, and making game trailers, than actually delivering anything.

Today I took a look at their Discord, and the last update from devs was in July of 2023, with yet more promises, but delivering nothing, not even hype. Their Discord’s general chat is generally dead, so I think it’s safe to assume this project promised way more than it could ever deliver and is now dead.

I guess if Southside City ever gets legs again, I own “property” in it, that I paid for with magic internet money I earned from selling Camwhore NFTs, but until that happens, The Camgirl Museum is still looking for a home in a metaverse somewhere.

I’m not interested in renting or using someone else’s property, but if anyone has property in Voxels or Decentraland, or ETH to buy property in either of these metaverses, to donate to the project, please let me know.

I realize I haven’t updated this site/project in ages, or even officially launched it yet, but I’m VERY excited because I purchased virtual land in a metaverse called Southside City that promises to be the wild wild west of Web3, where art, sex, drugs, and debauchery will reign supreme! Just like the early days of the internet! Why wouldn’t we call this place home??

The property I bought is on the 2nd floor of a large complex building, apparently very close to the spawn point and right beside the train station. As far as metaverses go, this property sounds ideal, in that it’ll get a lot of foot traffic from the spawn point, plus, I happen to know a lot of the artists nearby and the majority of them embrace NSFW art! We may end up turning this whole part of the city into the Red Light District! Stay tuned!

The creators of this metaverse very much refer to it as a “game”, unlike Cryptovoxels and Decentraland, so I see it as a first step into the metaverse, but maybe not the final solution. A place for me to test the waters before buying and building something more expensive, permanent, and hopefully, impressive. Southside City is the NSFW, Web3 version of Angelfire…take that as you will.

With the recent passing of our friend Popgun, and the upcoming one year anniversary of my old school camgirl Reddit AMA, I kinda have a fire under my ass to make this website at least start having some content and organization. I own the domain http://camgirl.museum and it’s not even connected to this site yet because it required contacting two different customer service departments for a 2nd time each. I just haven’t had the spoons to deal with it, which is dumb, because it’s a pricey (but cool!) little piece of web real estate, so I should fucking use it!

So, after I post this and have dinner, I think that’s gonna be my mission! Peace out, girl scouts!
